Use this menu to go to your Council to report fly tipping
For all your environmental, health and safety advice.
So you got caught!
Our picture shows three magistrates and their Legal Advisor posing for
the camera. This scene is repeated each weekday in most large towns across
England and Wales.
Where there is sufficient evidence in fly tipping incidents across Lancashire
& North Merseyside these cases will be prosecuted
initially in the local Magistrate's Court. (For another more imposing
view of a Magistrate's Court navigate to the Courtroom
page on this site.)
If you don't know what sentencing powers the Magistrate's have got you
will find them on the Powers pages elsewhere
on this site. But be assured Lancashire Magistrates are being trained
to appreciate the effects fly tipping and other enviro crime is having
on their environment.
Examples from around the country
These pages give examples of what local authorities and Courts both
nationally and regionally are doing to ensure enviro criminals pay the
price for their illegal waste deposition. Have a look at the National,
Regional and Latest
pages on this part of the web site.
New local prosecutions will be published on the Latest
page before migrating onto the Regional page.
We will not be afraid to name and shame in our efforts
to stop this anti social criminal behaviour.
